James was raised in Oklahoma and started dancing at the age of nine with Ballet Oklahoma.
He continued his training with Ceke Farha, Houston Ballet and the Bolshoi Academy.
Gregg then moved to Chicago to dance with River North Dance Company, where he worked with many prestigious choreographers such as Frank Chaves, Danny Ezralow and Harrison Maceldowny.
James joined Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal [bjm_danse] in June 2005 and has danced for ezDanza since 2006.
